On Saturday 9th June, the Bulmershe Singers performed during the procession of the Woodley Carnival. The Bulmershe Singers performed a selection of songs along the theme of “Heroes and Villains”. Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding out for a Hero” and AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” were the crowd favourites! Congratulations to all the members of the choir who sang all afternoon (and even on the trip back to school!) and the members of our excellent live band! Your dedication and enthusiasm was an excellent sight to behold! We thoroughly enjoyed the event and look forward to taking part next year!

A huge thank you to the staff members and parents who gave their spare time to ensure the successful running of the float:
Miss A Farrugia, who helped students over numerous lunchtimes to paint buildings for the float.
Miss J Bishop, Mrs S Bricknell and Mrs V Farrelly, who helped make 30 meters of bunting.
Miss A Hanks, Mrs A Harrison, Mrs S Harty, Miss K Kubisch, Mrs A Meadows and Ms A Welsh, for helping us make superhero capes and masks for 3 hours over half term. An extra thank you to those who took some home with them to complete!
Mrs H Bishop, Mr D Hagen, Miss A Hanks and Mr M Hanks, for helping us decorate and strip the float before and after the carnival.
Jon the driver, who went above and beyond to make the day amazing for students, parents and staff, helping to decorate/strip the float and also amazing us with his superb lorry manoeuvres!
Miss S Johnson-Nepi and her son Gabriel, who walked along the float all day, assisting with money collection.
The Performing Arts Faculty (Mr Camichel, Mr Mooney and Mr Mungall) for assisting with the preparation of the float and with staffing on the day.
Mrs I O’Higgins, for going above and beyond in co-organising the float and for assisting on the day.
Miss I Wiltshire, for preparing the choir and the music for the day.
And last but not least, thanks to the gentleman at 302 Howth Drive who kindly allowed a number of our students to use his toilet facilities en route!
