Rotarians get planting for good causes

These Interactors worked with four members of Loddon Vale Rotary Club in Woodlands Avenue on Saturday 20th October, planting 5000 crocus corms. This is on the corner of the entrance to school.

Rotary has been planting crocus corms for two years as part of its long-standing programme to eradicate the polio virus totally. It would have taken the four Loddon Vale club members rather longer to plant so many without help, but these students were marvellous at the job and enabled us to complete the task in a reasonable time.

This came at the end of a week in which the Interact club  donated £590 to buy a Shelterbox tent, equipped for ten people, for use in the Indonesian disaster, and was on the day after it organised a very successful Year 7 disco which made well over £300.

We hope everyone enjoys the results of our planting next March!
