Local primary school children spent a fun evening at Bulmershe recently - all in the name of Santa!

Their task was to help create a fleet of rocket powered sleighs to help Santa on his busiest night of the year.

Guided by Santa's chief helper and technical advisor Mr Hulley and his crew of dedicated technicians, the tension was palpable as the children sent their prototypes down the specially designed track.

The excitement as the sleighs rocketed into the night one by one was hugely enjoyed by testers and onlookers alike.

The remit from the big man himself was that the designs needed to be 'fast, durable but still keeping with tradition' and the sleighs certainly ticked all the boxes.

Thanks to Mr Hulley, Miss Hurst and the Year 10 transition leaders (Ellie, Catlin, Grace, Ella, Amy, Trinity, Scarlett, Eva, and Jess), but especially all the courageous young testers, Santa can rest assured that Christmas Eve deliveries will go as planned.
