Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you all had a more restful weekend and that today has been ok.

Our Care provision is in place and has run well. We have very strict health and safety procedures which we are following including, washing hands every hour, not sharing equipment, computers or desks and observing the two metre rule for social distancing. We only had fourteen students in today.
Just as a reminder the Government guidance released at the end of last week was that:

1.If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.
2.If a child needs specialist support, is vulnerable or has a parent who is a critical worker, then educational provision will be available for them.
3.Parents should not rely for childcare upon those who are advised to be in the stringent social distancing category such as grandparents, friends, or family members with underlying conditions.
4.Parents should also do everything they can to ensure children are not mixing socially in a way which can continue to spread the virus. They should observe the same social distancing principles as adults.

Free School Meal Vouchers: the vouchers can now be collected from the main reception between 8.30am and 3pm each day. You will need to bring ID and sign for them. If you are not in a position to collect please call the school and leave a message, someone will contact you to discuss.

Online learning platforms: thank you for your patience today as we know the system has been slow due to demand. The company are working hard to ensure the platform operates efficiently and are in constant communication with us. In the meantime Doddle have requested that students use www.doddlelearn.co.uk/app every time they log in. If the online platforms are slow please direct your children to private reading or BBC Bitesize. I would also suggest that you contact their class teacher for specific support. All teachers' emails can be accessed via the ‘contact us’ tab on the website.

Communication : I will continue to email parents every Monday unless further guidance is released which changes our situation. As always, we are here if you need us, email or phone.

Take care and keep safe.
Kind regards,

Mrs Amanda Woodfin
