We are delighted with our Year 11 students’ GCSE results this summer; the progress our students have made is outstanding and a real tribute to the hard work, determination and dedication of  students, staff and supportive parents. Well done to everybody.

This is the first time students have been assessed under the new grading system and, as predicted, our students and staff have risen to the challenge. Within this year group, our girls have performed particularly well on all levels as have our upper band students. Indeed 24%  of all grades gained at GCSE level attained the highest grades of A*, A  or new levels 8 and 9.

We are so proud of the many individual success stories including:

Amber Ford, Erin Foster and Sadiksha Giri- all of whom achieved 11  grade A*/A or equivalent.

Manisha Kumar, Sam Shipp, Elizabeth Swaddle and Jasmine Thompson- all of whom, among their results, achieved 9 A*/A or equivalent.

Alina Ali, Sofayan Fatani, Joseph Jones, Baraka Kayatto, Rijul Mahajan, Radi Stefanov, Aavash Subedi, Victoria Sutton, Susan Thapa, Alex Tonca and Ella Walker, all of whom, among their results, achieved 8 A*/A or equivalent.

Adam Yorke, Wajjahat Nadeem, Richard Laolu-Balogun, Joel Bishop and Maice Al-Rekabi all of whom, among their results,  achieved 7 A*/A or equivalent.

These are just a sample of the excellent outcomes and achievements gained and we are very proud of each and every individual. In terms of subjects, we are especially pleased with our results in Business Studies, Computer Science, English Literature, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

This talented cohort of young people have made exceptional progress and these results provide a brilliant   start to sixth form studies, employment and successful futures. We look forward to welcoming Year 12 into our sixth form and thank them for their many contributions to school life here at Bulmershe.
