Everybody has Mental Health. Like your physical health, you can become ill. Looking after your mental health is becoming a factor in your education and can have serious impacts on your education, friendships and well-being if you do not look after it.

This mental health toolkit is not a cure, it is not a solution, it is a signpost.

It is here to give you an understanding of some of the more common mental health issues that you may be experiencing and some ideas of how to address these issues, where to turn for help and how to understand what you are going through in a little more detail.

Staff at Bulmershe are always happy to be approached with any concerns or worries that you may have and will happily give you the time you need to talk through issues. You have a tutors, heads of year, teachers, support staff and more to talk to, you simply need to decide who you are most comfortable to approach when you feel the need.

Dr Jigounova is a qualified psychologist and has regular open sessions for students every Wednesday lunch time upstairs in her classroom in the new build (above the sixth form). Any student is welcome to turn up and discuss anything that is on their mind in a safe space.
