Art and Design at The Bulmershe School
Our department believe that the Visual Arts are central to every student’s cultural and personal development. The programmes of study affirm and nurture the creative spirit of each individual while providing knowledge and structure to promote the appreciation and understanding of Art. The department offers a broad and varied programme of study in both two and three dimensions including traditional and contemporary practices in painting; sculpture; print making, textiles, photography, ceramics, craft and modern technologies and teaches these with a coherent and structured approach. The department has expertise in a cross section of art disciplines and this diverse approach is crucial to an inspiring and progressive department.
We pride ourselves on the high standards and expectations we set both ourselves and our students, proved by an excellent record of exam results. Many of our senior art students go on to art college and University foundation courses and enjoy success in an art related field.
