History at The Bulmershe School offers an exciting curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13. At Key Stage Three, students study a variety of World, British and Local History and are given opportunities to research particular areas of interest; for example, our Year 8 students independently produce a piece of work to argue the significance of an individual of their choice in the twentieth century.

As part of our preparations for the new GCSE and A Level courses, our students were invited to take part in discussions and a vote regarding what they would like to study. At GCSE they have selected Superpower Relations, Crime and Punishment and Henry VIII alongside a modern depth study on either Nazi Germany or USA.

At A Level students selected the Tudors and South Africa in year 12 and the Middle East for their exam unit in year 13. Their final unit is coursework which they can set a question based on a topic which they are interested in.
