We are a strong department that has steadily been growing in success.  In Key Stage 3, we approach Religious Studies with a thematic approach over the three years, engaging students with topical issues.  Within these themes, students will look at the six major world religions and their approach to different ideas. We offer courses at GCSE and A-Level with a focus on Philosophy and Ethics.

Extra Curricular Activities

In Year 8, a trip is run to the Victoria & Albert Museum where students have the chance to explore the examples of artefacts and treasures from different continents and how religion is incorporated.  The Religious Studies Department will also be running a trip for Year 9 in conjunction with the History Department to the Imperial War Museum where they will explore the different exhibits on War and the Holocaust.
