Sixth Form Open Evening

Year 11s! Are you thinking about where to study A-levels? Or are you interested in discovering more about the new AAQs? 

The Bulmershe School Sixth Form Open Evening will be held on Thursday 7th November 2024 from 5:45pm. There is no need to book for this event. Simply come to the School's main reception behind The Bulmershe Leisure Centre (off Woodlands Avenue) on the evening.

The evening will begin with a presentation in the main auditorium, where information will be provided about the sixth form as a whole, entry requirements, course offerings and why The Bulmershe Sixth Form is a great place to continue to study. Following the presentation, all students and parents will have an opportunity to explore the different subject stalls that will be located within departmental areas. Sixth form teachers and current sixth form students will be on hand to provide insightful and useful information to all guests. Current sixth formers will offer tours around the school for visitors that are unfamiliar with the site.

We are incredibly proud of The Bulmershe Sixth Form, one that has grown considerably over the last 5 years. We now have 260 students in total, with 140 in year 12 and 120 in year 13. We consistently receive hundreds of applications each year from both internal and external students with the majority of internal year 11 students choosing to progress to the sixth form. Students regularly leave year 13 for outstanding destinations including Oxford and Cambridge and higher-level degree apprenticeships.

We are confident that our rich KS5 curriculum will suit the needs of year 11 students. Our aim is to provide a curriculum that suits the diverse needs of our school community to allow all students who leave year 13 to progress into higher education or pursue their chosen careers.
