Knowledge Organisers
What are knowledge organisers?
Knowledge organisers are a summary of the key facts and essential knowledge that pupils need about a unit of work or a curriculum subject with the aim to aid topic revision. Topic information is broken down into easily digestible chunks, and organisers can detail key vocabulary, technical terms and diagrams etc for students to easily recall.
Knowledge organisers are useful for students when revising as they help focus the mind on what’s absolutely crucial. The secret to success lies in regularly revisiting the concepts to be learnt. This helps students to transfer chunks of knowledge from their short-term memory to long-term memory.
Our departments are gradually creating knowledge organisers and this collection will grow over time.
