sQuid & IRIS Payment Systems
The Bulmershe School is cashless for all transactions, whether that be school lunches, in the school shop, or when paying for trips.
Payments by students are made via a biometric system so that they can use their thumbprint in the canteen and parents can manage payments online.

To buy food in the canteen, families need to keep student’s accounts topped up – and it possible to set an automatic top up when accounts reach a certain level.
At the moment, The Bulmershe School are transferring from sQuid to a new payment system called IRIS PlusPay. This change over will happen on Monday 10th March 2025.
- Please continue using sQuid until Sunday 9th March.
- From Tuesday 11th March, all payments should be made via IRIS PlusPay.
- Any money loaded onto sQuid before 10th March will automatically transfer to IRIS.
IRIS PlusPay is part of IRIS ParentMail, and you will soon receive an email invitation to register. Please create your account as soon as you receive this invitation to ensure a smooth transition. If you don’t receive it, check your Spam/Junk folder.
You can manage your new account via the IRIS ParentMail app (available on iOS and Android) – just search for “IRIS ParentMail” in your app store. Alternatively, you can access your account online via your browser.
Payment options: IRIS PlusPay offers a variety of payment methods, including Credit/debit cards, PayPal, Cash and cheque payments (facilitated via PlusPay) and Free School Meals. Depending on your chosen payment method, transactions will appear on your bank statement as “IRISPAY”.

How to Register for IRIS PlusPay
IRIS PlusPay will be the new way to pay for school meals, trips, and other expenses online. It’s quick, easy, and safe. Follow these steps to set up your account.
Step 1: Check Your Email
- You will receive an email from info@parentmail.co.uk with your registration link.
- Didn’t get the email? Check your junk/spam folder or contact the school for help.
Step 2: Register Your Account
Click the Register button in the email and choose one of these options:
- New to IRIS ParentMail? Click "I don’t have an account" and enter your details (email, phone number, name).
- Already have an account? Click "I already have an account", enter your email, and log in.
Step 3: Verify Your Child’s Details
Enter your child’s date of birth and click "Verify Now".
Step 4: Set Up a Password (New Users Only)
- Create a password that meets the security requirements.
- Read and accept the terms and conditions.
- Click "Complete Registration".
Step 5: Download the IRIS ParentMail App
- iPhone users: Go to the App Store.
- Android users: Go to Google Play Store.
- Search for "IRIS ParentMail" and download it.
- Use your registered email and password to log in.
IRIS PlusPay - Frequently Asked Questions [FAQs]
1. What if I already have an IRIS ParentMail account?
No need to register again! Your new child will automatically be linked to your existing account, so long as the email address the school holds for you is the same as your existing account.
2. What if my registration link has expired?
You have already registered! Just log in at pmx.parentmail.co.uk or open the IRIS ParentMail app.
3. Where can I find my child’s details?
Once registered, your child’s school will link your account. Messages will appear once the school starts sending them.
4. Can I use IRIS PlusPay without registering?
No. Without an account, you will still receive school emails, but you won’t be able to make payments or book events online.
