Thank you to all families who visited our Open Evening.
BackOn September 23rd, we were delighted to be able to open our doors to over 1000 visitors. Throughout the school the sense of community was tangible and the bustling vibe in all departments was incredibly positive.
This is the most families we have ever hosted and we would like to thank them for taking the time to see for themselves the diverse curriculum that we are able to offer. Of course, this would not have been possible without the dedication demonstrated by each of our departments and all our staff.
We would like to give a special mention to Isaac (yr 7), Ruby (yr 7), Lotte (yr 8), Preet (yr 8) and our Head Students, Stanley and Scarlett who braved the stage to address their audiences and offer an honest account of life here at The Bulmershe School. We would also like to celebrate the work of Miss Wiltshire and her fantastic Ensemble whose uplifting performance put a spring in all our steps as they entertained all visitors who came to hear the speeches in the auditorium.
The night would not have been able to run so smoothly, if it was not for both our tour guides and department ambassadors who showed prospective families the variety of subjects in our school and the pastoral care we have to offer.
We are very proud of our school, and we look forward to welcoming our new year 7’s in 2022!
Testimonials:
“I wanted to say thank you for a wonderful open evening… Our daughter was sold as soon as the Ensemble began to sing. Every member of staff and every student we met were so welcoming and enthusiastic. My daughter is excited to join already, and we know she’ll be happy here”
“I was impressed by everything I heard and saw, from the Head’s address, to seeing the ethos that she described run through the school… It was so powerful to see it and, even more so to feel it in action. Bulmershe was a breath of fresh air, and it is affirming to know that I could send my son here with confidence that he would be happy and thrive”
“I just wanted to pass on my thanks for a wonderful open evening you held last night. The year 8 students who showed us round were fantastic, confident, and enthusiastic young people and you should be extremely proud of them. My son is very excited about hopefully starting next September”
